Garrett Parrish, is a drummer, percussionist, arranger, and multi-disciplined engineer. A native of the Boston Area, Parrish is currently studying music and engineering at MIT, having previously attended Harvard University. Parrish has been studying jazz drums and percussion for the past decade under the mentorship of musicians such as Bob Gullotti, Vijay Iyer, Austin McMahon, Neal Smith and Daniel Henderson. He plays regularly in groups throughout the Boston and New York City area such as the Beantown Swing Orchestra, The Parrish Brothers, and the Solomon Douglass Septet. Parrish also regularly produces studio recordings and drum tracks for various mediums such as video games, musical theater, and film. Parrish applies both his musical background and technical experience to the entertainment industry, working at the intersection of engineering, art, music, lighting, and experience design.
